The city of Jaipur is the proud owner of the world’s largest hand woven carpet specially created for the Sheikh Zayed Mosque in Abu Dhabi, you know? And just so you know, to complete it took two years and 1,200 artisans​.

Rajasthan’s cities are often associated with particular colors, you know, Jaipur has been termed the “Pink City,” while Jodhpur is known as the “Blue City,” Udaipur as the “White City,” and Jaisalmer as the “Golden City.”

The Mehrangarh Fort in Jodhpur was in the Hollywood blockbuster “The Dark Knight Rises” which presented the exterior of the prison from which the main character, Bruce Wayne escapes, which is literally one of the most iconic scenes in the entire movie.

12. A Temple for a Motorcycle

It may sound like a myth or superstition at first, but the Bullet Baba Temple in Pali, Rajasthan, is dedicated to a 350cc Royal Enfield Bullet motorcycle and is one of its kind. People near the temple have seen the motorcycle get to the place where Bullet Baba died because of an accident, and no one knows how the motorcycle gets there on its own.
